Our customers have increasingly called on Artco to provide a range of services beyond providing whole plates. Though Artco is not a full-service Service Center, we have developed a network of partners and sub-contractors who we can turn to in order to assist our customers with a range of services including:
- Flame Cutting: We can provide straight line and CNC cutting up to 25" thick. Our ability to provide flame cutting services allows us to provide customers with the amount of steel they need for a job. Whether you need a full plate, a portion of a plate or a cut-to-size shape, Artco can deliver, from inventory, on a range of sizes and grades.
- Saw Cutting: For those jobs that require it, we can provide saw cutting services up to 20" thick.
- Grinding: We can provide machine and hand grinding to your specified tolerances.
- Heat Treating: Whether you need Annealing, Stress Relieving, Normalizing or Quench & Tempering, Artco can meet your specifications. We can provide mill heat-treated steel, or heat treat semi-finished parts.
- Shot Blasting and Primering: Customers who purchase cut-to-size parts often ask us to deliver their parts cleaned and primed. We can provide shot blasting or wheelabrator processing, and follow up with painting according to your specifications.
- Testing: All of our prime material comes with mill test certificates. If you need additional testing, Artco can provide it as well. Recently we have provided customers with:
- Supplemental chemistry testing
- Post heat treat mechanical and hardness testing
